Your committee is deciding whether to move a club onto software from a company it hasn't heard of. A wish list wouldn't help you with that. So this page is three honest things instead: what a club can use today, what we're asking clubs about next, and what we've decided we won't build.
We don't publish delivery dates. A date on this page would be a guess dressed as a commitment, and your season doesn't have room for either. What we ship, when it's shipped, goes on the changelog with the date it actually happened.
Running in clubs now

The night itself
What happens between 6pm and 9pm on a Tuesday.
- Post a session once — one-off or recurring — and members RSVP
- Rounds shuffled fairly across your courts, previewed before you start
- Walk-in guests added on the night without an account chase
- Courts grouped by rating so the even games stay even
- Live standings, scoring, and a big-screen view for the clubhouse TV
- A recap afterwards, and the whole night exportable as a CSV
The club itself
The committee admin that currently lives in a spreadsheet.
- A members roster with roles, join requests and an invite link or QR code
- Import your existing member list from CSV, and export it back out
- Announcements that pin, with comments — not twelve messages up a group chat
- Club chat, separate from the per-session threads
- A public club page a prospective member can read before they join, including the sessions you've already run
- Members drifting quiet flagged before they lapse
The money
On a laptop at app.frienemi.com, because it's committee work.
- Stripe Connect — the money lands in your club's own account, never ours
- Membership plans, and a roster that shows who's paid, due or lapsed
- Session and guest fees, paid from the member's phone when they join
- A student rate the member proves themselves, by confirming a code emailed to their university address
- Cash at the door recorded against the same name, in the same list
- Refunds, payouts and a finance view the treasurer can export
What we're asking clubs
UndecidedThese are open questions, not a queue. Nothing here is committed, scheduled or half-built — if it were, it would be on the changelog instead. We're publishing them because the clubs piloting now are the ones answering them.
What does your treasurer actually need at the end of the season?
We can already show collected, outstanding and refunded, and export it. What we don't know is the shape the club's books want it in, and that differs by club and by accountant.
Where does the committee's night still fall back to paper?
Every club we sit with has one step still done on a clipboard. It is never the same step twice, so we would rather watch a session than guess.
Who on the committee should be able to see what?
Owner and admin covers most clubs. It stops covering them the moment a treasurer should see the money but not the roster, or a coach the roster but not the money.
What has to be true before your club moves its members onto this?
Usually not a feature. Usually a question about your data, your association, or what happens if we disappear — and those answers are worth more of our week than another screen.

Court booking
Keep whatever your club already books courts with. We run what happens once people are on them.
Your association's registration and compliance
That system exists, your association mandates it, and replacing it is not a thing a club should have to take on to use us.
Holding your club's money
Funds go into your club's own Stripe account, in your club's name. We can't move them and we don't want the ability to.
Selling anything about your members
The roster is the club's. It isn't a mailing list, and it isn't ours to trade.
“Will you still be here next season?”
The fair way to answer that isn't a plan — it's a record. The changelog is dated and it doesn't skip months. Frienemi is built by Short Technology Pty Ltd in Perth, and the business model is clubs paying for club software — not advertising, and not selling anything about your members. Your club's payments run through your club's own Stripe account, so if we vanished tomorrow your money would still be yours and still be where it is.
