Passwords, the email address you signed up with, and how to leave.

I forgot my password+

On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot password" and enter the address you signed up with. We email a six-digit code from support@frienemi.com. The code lasts one hour, and five wrong entries destroys it — if you have missed twice, ask for a new code rather than guessing a third time. Then you set the new password. If you are already signed in and just want a different password, it is Settings → Account → Change password; you do not need a code for that. If you have only ever signed in with Google, Apple or Facebook, that row reads "Set initial password" instead. Using it adds an email-and-password way in without removing the social sign-in.

Can I change the email address on my account?+

No. Settings shows your address but it is not editable, and there is no support route either — we have no tool that moves an account to a different email. The only way to end up on a new address is to delete the account and sign up again on the new one, which costs you your rating, your match history and your club memberships. That is a real cost, so if you can see that you are about to lose access to the address you signed up with, deal with it before you do.

Can I change my display name?+

Yes — Settings → Profile → Edit profile, as often as you like. There is no cooldown and no approval step. The same screen holds your username, photo, bio, playing style and the location line on your profile, which is text you write yourself rather than anything we detect.

How do I delete my account?+

Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account, then type DELETE to confirm. It happens immediately, in one step. There is no cooling-off period and no undo. Two things will stop it, and the app tells you which: · You own a club. Delete it or hand it over first — a club losing its owner strands its members. · A card is still being charged for a membership. Cancel that membership first, in the club it belongs to. We refuse rather than cancel it for you, because cancelling is a money action and doing it silently inside "delete my account" is how a charge outlives the account. Your name, photo, messages, friends, notifications and verification records are removed. Matches and sessions you played are kept but anonymised — a match has two players, and erasing one side would silently rewrite the other person's results — so your name in them becomes "Deleted user". Payment records are kept as financial records, pointing at an anonymised account. The full list, including what happens to club chat and to backups, is at frienemi.com/delete-account. It is worth reading before you delete rather than after.

I signed up but the verification code never arrived+

Until you verify, the web app holds you on the verify-your-email screen and will not let you past it. That screen has a Resend link — use it, and check your spam folder, since the code comes from support@frienemi.com. If it still does not arrive, email support@frienemi.com. Be aware of the limit before you write: there is no tool that lets us verify an address on your behalf. If the address you signed up with was wrong or is one you cannot open, the only fix is a new account on an address that works.
